This Privacy Policy explains how Rumba ("Rumba", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use mirumba.net, the Rumba mobile app, and related services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo when you create an account or edit your profile.
Transaction information: the events and tickets you buy, seats, order history, saved (favorited) events, and limited payment details needed to process a purchase. Card numbers are not stored on our servers.
Location information: we estimate your approximate location from your IP address to show events near you, and — only if you tap "Use My Location" — your device’s precise location. You can decline device location at any time.
Usage and behavior data: pages and events you view, items you click (such as "Get Tickets"), searches, referring pages, and similar interactions, which we use for analytics and to improve the Services.
Device and technical data: browser type, device type, operating system, language, and cookie or similar identifiers.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide the Services: create your account, process ticket purchases and cancellations, deliver QR tickets and confirmations, and show events near your location.
To personalize your experience, send service and support communications, maintain security, prevent fraud, comply with the law, and analyze and improve the Services.
3. How We Share Information
Service providers who run our infrastructure on our behalf: Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Vercel (website hosting and IP-based geolocation), and Resend (transactional email). They may process your data only to provide services to us.
Event organizers: when you buy a ticket, we share the order details needed to honor your purchase and admit you to the event.
Legal and safety: we may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights and safety of users and the public. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies (for example, to keep you signed in and remember your language) and analytics to understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect functionality.
5. Data Retention & Security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services and meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. We use industry-standard safeguards, including row-level access controls and encryption in transit, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Your Rights & Choices
You can access and update your profile in your account, request deletion of your account and personal data from Edit Profile, and manage device location permissions on your device. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — see "Your Privacy Choices".
7. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Policy from time to time; we will post the new date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
