With Tap to Pay on iPhone in the Rumba Scanner, you can accept contactless credit and debit cards and digital wallets — Apple Pay, Google Pay and more — at the door using just your iPhone. No card reader, no extra hardware.
What you need
- iPhone XS or later
- iOS 17.6 or later
- A verified Rumba organizer account
How to take a payment

Open Sell
In the Rumba Scanner, pick your event and tap Sell.

Enter the amount
Key in the price (or tap a ticket tier) and choose how many.

Tap “Tap to Pay”
The Tap to Pay on iPhone screen appears, ready for the card.

Hold the card to your iPhone
The customer holds their contactless card, iPhone, or Apple Watch near the top of your iPhone.

See the result & send a receipt
You’re clearly shown whether the payment was approved or declined, and can send a digital receipt by email, text, or share.
The first time you use it
Apple guides you through a quick, one-time setup on your iPhone — sign in with your Apple Account and accept Apple’s Tap to Pay on iPhone Terms & Conditions. After that, taking a payment is instant.

Apply to sell
Create your organizer account and apply — right in the app or on the web.
Verify with Stripe
Complete identity and bank verification so you can be paid.
Start accepting cards
Once verified, Tap to Pay unlocks under Sell.
Every customer can get a receipt
For any transaction — approved or declined — you can send the customer a confidential digital receipt by email, text message, or the iOS share sheet.
